I give out lots of hugs and eye contact - I could eat them all up!

Eburru School Headmaster with no money for textbooks.  After our brief tour of this tiny school my mind was reeling just trying to imagine the massive obstacles to education they were up against.

I first encountered this little Precious when we were "mudding" a new home in 2012.
When I went to hug her she "winced".
Upon further inquiry we discovered she had an undiagnosed broken arm.
In the Eburru culture, broken arms heal without medical attention, whining or complaining.

2012 - Kimani excited to be returning to 8th grade @ age 19!  He had been working to support his three younger siblings and their school efforts for many years in the absence of a father.
Now it's his turn.

Because there is no running water or sewage system in Mathare, "flying toilets" 
are the oft used method of waste removal.
Plastic bags filled, sealed and swung into mid air to land wherever.
